Master vs. Starter Template & Color Theme Choice

October 27, 20251 min read

What’s the difference between Master and Starter assets?

We include two versions of each item (quizzes, funnels, forms, workflows) so you can work fast and keep a clean backup.

MASTER (pristine templates)

Master elements give you a clean source to clone from if you ever want a fresh build (no need to rebuild from scratch), or if you need a clean reset of any element after heavy edits.

When to use Master elements?

  • If you want to use just one element, e.g., just the quiz without funnel pieces.

So when you want only the ConvertQuiz functionality and plan to plug quiz into funnels you already have, clone the Light or Dark Master quiz and customize it to your needs.

  • If you want to try a variation without touching your live setup.

💡 NOTE: Don’t edit or delete Masters—you’ll want them later. Clone a Master first, then rename it and work in your clone.

STARTER (ready-to-use, pre-wired)

Use Starters when you want ConvertQuiz + the complete funnel (or at least some funnel steps) ready to customize. Starters let you go live fast with everything connected.

What’s already connected:

  • ConvertQuiz embedded in the funnel Quiz page

  • Opt-in forms connected in the funnel Optin page

  • Welcome workflow enabled with A/B/C categories

💡 NOTE: customize the Starter items to launch your first project quickly.

Why are there Light and Dark color theme versions?

They’re there to speed up branding.

Pick the base that’s closest to your look, then tweak colors.

  • If your brand is mostly light, choose the Light Starter;

  • If your brand is mostly dark, choose the Dark Starter to start faster.
